Responsibilities:

  • Foster meaningful relationships with a designated group of seniors and their families by assisting with activities of daily living, addressing individual care needs, and understanding their unique preferences and personalities.
  • Inform management of any changes in residents’ conditions and recommend adjustments in care and services as necessary.
  • Support residents in life skills and other enriching activities as outlined in their individual profiles.
  • Integrate various multi-sensory experiences into the daily routines of residents.
  • Participate in the development and monthly updates of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs).
  • Oversee a designated group of residents during each shift, ensuring their safety and well-being through regular check-ins.
  • Collaborate with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and promote effective risk management practices; adhere to safety regulations at all times.
  • Attend to the dining needs of residents and guests while upholding the exceptional service standards of Sunrise.
  • Invite, encourage, and assist residents in life skills and other enriching activities as detailed in their ISP and demographic profiles.
  • Demonstrate a steadfast commitment to serving our residents and guests through our Principles of Service.

Qualifications:

  • A genuine dedication to serving seniors, complemented by excellent customer service skills.
  • A positive attitude, adaptability to perform diverse duties, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are essential for success.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required and may be mandated by state regulations.
  • In states where applicable, candidates must maintain relevant certifications.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience working with seniors is preferred.
  • Ability to make informed decisions that act in the best interests of residents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective interactions.
  • Competence in organizational and time management skills.
  • Sound judgment, problem-solving abilities, and decision-making skills.
