The Senior Specialist, Marketing Events, will oversee the comprehensive planning, execution, and management of national and regional customer-facing events, exhibits, and conferences. This role requires effective collaboration with both external and internal teams to implement programs that align with our strategic objectives, brand positioning, conference timelines, and sales goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and managing the budget for specific events, monitoring the overall outcomes of our event participation, and establishing criteria for selecting conferences to attend in each fiscal year.

Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain an annual event strategy, including criteria for evaluating, adding, or removing events from the master calendar. Assess event tiering criteria for accuracy and placement within the calendar.
– Collaborate with internal stakeholders to devise comprehensive event strategies that optimize staffing and financial resources, maximizing attendee engagement.
– Partner with brand and product marketing teams to create strategies for engaging attendees during and after events to enrich their overall experience.
– Manage all logistical aspects of conferences and events, including audience development programs, agenda planning, budget management, audiovisual requirements, food and beverage arrangements, accommodations, event-specific communications, signage, collateral materials, exhibit hall setup, booth design, registration, and speaker communications.
– Introduce and utilize new event technologies and industry best practices to enhance business processes and functions.
– Conduct post-conference feedback analysis to collect insights and identify opportunities for improvement.

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
Education/Training:
– Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field of education/experience.

Business Experience:
– A minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing, hospitality, or event management.
– Demonstrated experience in supervising team members and directing the work of others.
– Proven expertise in developing and executing event and conference strategies.
– Strong interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional teams comprising product marketers, partner support, sales, and logistics staff.
– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize tasks.
