Overview
Join us in our mission to grow together! Pyramid Global Hospitality is a leading and expanding global hotel management company. We are currently seeking a driven and motivated Director of Sales for the Hotel Indigo who will embody our People First culture and help us achieve our goals.
The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership qualities and a visionary approach to business. This empowering role demands high energy and a forward-thinking, creative mindset. The Director of Sales will oversee all revenue streams associated with room sales, banquets, catering, and room rentals. You will play an integral role in developing yield strategies and will be accountable for market performance, ensuring that budgetary targets and optimal business mix goals are met or exceeded. Key responsibilities include hiring, training, managing, and coaching staff.
This position involves close collaboration with the General Manager, regional and corporate staff, ownership, and subject matter experts to support brand development and asset growth, focusing on the following key areas:
– Overall responsibility for total revenue and collaboration on the development and execution of yield strategies.
– Accountability for market performance potential and the achievement of budget, forecasting, and target objectives.
– This is primarily a sales-driven role, overseeing all segments.
– Provide hands-on leadership to a sales coordinator, demonstrating the ability to lead, direct, and hold the team accountable. Experience in developing Business Travel, Group, and Banquet/Catering segments is essential.
– Actively engage in community relations.
– Create and implement a cohesive Hotel Business Plan emphasizing revenue achievement through Direct Sales, Public Relations, Revenue Management, and E-commerce strategies.
Qualifications
– A minimum of 3 years of hotel or resort sales leadership experience in a similar-sized operation is preferred (resort, hotel, membership club).
– Familiarity with the Cleveland market is preferred, although experience in other resort destinations may be considered.
– Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Salesforce/Delphi.
– Knowledge of computer accounting programs and strong mathematical skills for budgetary analysis are required.
– Extensive proficiency in sales skills, revenue management, recruitment, supervision, training, and team motivation.
– Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with the public and team members.
– Essential statistical and analytical skills to identify revenue opportunities and address shortfalls.
– Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve goals.
– Must thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
– Availability to work during events, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
– Willingness to travel up to 10%.
