We are currently seeking a part-time Food Unit Lead to join our team immediately. The position is located at Henry Ford Health Systems, 47601 Grand River Avenue, Novi, MI 48374. Please note that applications are accepted online only.

As a Food Unit Lead, you will coordinate the activities of food service employees and help create an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff, and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding customer service with meticulous attention to detail.
• Oversee and engage in the preparation and service of food and beverages, ensuring adherence to company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety, and portion control.
• Assist in menu planning and ensure timely meal service by supervising meal distribution.
• Address customer complaints directly and in writing for electronic feedback.
• Train employees, assigning tasks to optimize efficiency and promote excellence in food service.
• Determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and facilitate work flow.
• Complete necessary reports, including inventory, cash reports, production records, payroll, and timekeeping.
• Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures as outlined in the Food Accounting Manual.
• Order food and other supplies from approved vendors.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations for the facility and employees.
• Develop and implement a sanitation schedule and ensure adherence.
• Provide written and verbal instructions to staff.
• Assist in the selection and orientation of new employees and oversee staff training.
• Perform additional duties as required.
