Job description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Catering Sales Coordinator to join our team at the Cleveland Museum of Art. This position is crucial for the planning and organization of all internal and external events held at the museum.

Key Responsibilities:

– Serve as the primary liaison for small internal Museum events.
– Act as the main point of contact for clients, responding to inquiries via phone and email.
– Create detailed event orders and collaborate with the Bon Appetit team to finalize menus and event logistics, ensuring proper invoicing post-event.
– Assist with event execution as needed.
– Maintain event calendars across multiple software systems for internal and external events.
– Organize and manage office filing systems during event planning, development, and post-event processes.
– Prepare accurate sales proposals, contracts, and event orders to support the Director of Catering and Catering Sales Manager.
– Perform various administrative tasks, including answering sales inquiry calls, maintaining inventory of sales documents, and distributing updated Event Orders (BEOs) and layouts to team members.
– Attend weekly meetings to review menus and collaborate with leadership.

Requirements:

– A minimum of 1-2 years of hospitality experience, preferably in catering or event planning.
– Exceptional oral and written communication skills coupled with excellent guest service abilities.
– A resourceful and highly motivated professional with the capacity to work independently, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and see projects through to completion.
