Delaware North Parks and Resorts is actively seeking both full-time and part-time Kitchen Supervisors to enhance our team at The Lodge at Geneva in Geneva, Ohio. Key Responsibilities:
– Develop weekly dining room menus utilizing personal or established recipes.
– Oversee food preparation to ensure compliance with quality, presentation, and sanitation standards; verify portion sizes and adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
– Ensure the functionality of kitchen equipment and supervise team members in maintaining cleanliness in all areas, including proper breakdown, rotation, labeling, dating, and storage of food items.
– Actively manage food costs in accordance with guidelines set by culinary leadership.
– Execute opening, closing, and side work responsibilities in alignment with established procedures.
Qualifications:
– A minimum of two years’ experience as a Line Cook, Lead Line Cook, or Kitchen Supervisor.
– Proven ability to communicate effectively in a leadership role.
– Detail-oriented with basic math skills to accurately understand and calculate recipe measurements.
– Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
– A college degree is not required.
Physical Requirements:
– Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
– Frequent standing, walking, bending throughout shifts, with occasional pushing and pulling to maneuver equipment, mops, and brooms.
– Manual dexterity sufficient to prepare a variety of foods.
