Delaware North Parks and Resorts is seeking both full-time and part-time Kitchen Supervisors to become an essential part of our team at The Lodge at Geneva in Geneva, Ohio. Key Responsibilities:
- Design weekly dining room menus utilizing personal or established recipes.
- Supervise food preparation, ensuring adherence to quality, presentation, and sanitation standards, while verifying compliance with portion sizes, departmental rules, and procedures.
- Oversee the efficiency of kitchen equipment and assist team members with cleaning and food production tasks; maintain the cleanliness and organization of storage areas, including proper breakdown, rotation, labeling, dating, and storage of food items.
- Actively manage food costs within the parameters set by culinary leadership.
- Execute opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned and according to established guidelines.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Line Cook, Lead Line Cook, or Kitchen Supervisor.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead effectively.
- Detail-oriented with basic mathematical skills for recipe measurements.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- A college degree is not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift; occasional pushing and pulling of equipment, mops, and brooms.
- Manual dexterity sufficient for chopping, mixing, blending, and whipping a variety of foods and liquids.
- Supervision may include various food service areas, such as an outdoor pool kitchen, food truck, and dining restaurant.
