Work Hours: Monday and Tuesday from 2:30 PM until completion (approximately 1 AM, with overtime anticipated on both days), and Friday and Saturday from 4 AM to 2:30 PM. Overtime eligibility is awarded or mandated based on seniority.
- Conduct analytical lab testing to ensure product specifications are met.
- Perform verifications of line equipment to ensure products adhere to established standards.
- Troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments to identify the root causes of product quality issues.
- Handle the receiving processes for raw materials, including nitrogen and CO2.
- Execute preventative maintenance on laboratory, wastewater, and water treatment equipment.
- Manage changeover procedures for product transitions.
Responsibilities
The SC QC Technician is tasked with executing critical performance activities related to Food Safety and Product Quality in the beverage production environment. This role involves routine oversight of the water treatment processes integral to beverage production and performing analytical testing on products, packaging, and environmental conditions to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards as outlined in standard operating procedures and manufacturing control plans. The technician holds accountability for the operation of beverage proportioning equipment and collaborates closely with production and maintenance teams to optimize line efficiencies.
This position may require the handling of items weighing between 20-50 pounds repeatedly over a 10-hour period, alongside continuous standing and walking, and manipulation of product samples while seated.

Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 18 years or older.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Helpful Experience:
- Familiarity with audit compliance processes, including monitoring and documentation.
- Previous experience with product changeovers, including CIP, flavor changes, and sanitization.
- Proficiency in operating testing instruments such as Carbo QC, HPLC, densitometers, and water testing equipment.
- Ability to follow and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Experience with calibrating instruments for accurate measurement.
- Knowledge of microbiology, including product sensitivity to spoilage and sample plating.
- Understanding of reverse osmosis/water treatment systems.
- Experience working with cooling and ammonia systems, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Skills in mechanical systems trouble-shooting and reassembly.
- Experience with sensory testing, evaluating taste, odor, and appearance against reference samples.
- Basic chemistry knowledge, including working with titrators, pH levels, dosing, and mixing techniques.
- Understanding of food safety measures, such as AIB certification and operational prerequisite programs.
