Job description:
As a Patient Service Specialist at our outpatient physical therapy center in Columbus, your primary objective will be to ensure that every patient has an exceptional experience from the moment they step through our doors. You will play a crucial role in managing both the patient-facing and administrative aspects of our center, significantly influencing patients’ care experiences even before they leave the waiting room.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and register patients, providing them with information about their visit and details regarding their next appointment during checkout.
- Schedule patient appointments both in person and via phone.
- Maintain regular communication with various parties, including attorney offices, insurance companies, translation services, operational leaders, and the business development team.
- Collect co-pays from patients and manage payer approvals, as well as conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred:
- One year of front desk experience.
- Experience in a healthcare environment.
