Job description:

As patients enter our outpatient physical therapy center in Columbus, we aim to provide them with an exceptional experience, beginning at the front desk. In the role of Patient Service Specialist – Float, you will be responsible for overseeing both the patient and business aspects of our center. Your role will significantly influence each patient’s care experience, even prior to their departure from the waiting room.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and register patients warmly, providing them with essential information about their visit and next appointments during checkout.
  • Schedule patient appointments both in person and via phone.
  • Maintain regular communication with various stakeholders, including attorney offices, insurance companies, translation services, market operational leaders, and the business development team.
  • Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and perform insurance authorizations and verifications.

Qualifications:
Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred:

  • One year of front desk experience.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
