Job description:

As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring our store operates smoothly and remains appealing to customers. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, processing transactions, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the store. You will enhance the customer shopping experience by collaborating closely with the ALDI team and providing exemplary customer service.

Wage Increases: Year 2 – $18.00 | Year 3 – $18.50 | Year 4 – $18.50 | Year 5 – $19.50

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Consistently exhibit the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) as defined for this role.
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and appropriately stock shelves and merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers throughout their shopping experience.
• Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with the store management team.
• Offer feedback to management regarding products, inventory discrepancies, scanning errors, and general operational issues.
• Participate in store inventory counts following established guidelines and ensure accuracy in inventory monitoring.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures to mitigate losses.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures while protecting the confidentiality and security of documents and data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Capacity to stock merchandise from receiving areas to shelves; ability to place products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelving at various heights.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and navigate throughout the store.
• Must be able to perform responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age to qualify for this position at ALDI.
