Job description:

Responsible for providing non-medical, in-home support services that ensure the comfort, safety, and general supervision of clients, as well as assisting with home management tasks. This role includes offering companionship to individuals who require social interaction and minimal guidance, thereby ensuring a safe, clean, and orderly environment.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must complete the Comfort Keepers training and orientation program satisfactorily. They will be responsible for learning and adhering to Comfort Keepers policies and procedures, functioning independently in a home setting with minimal supervision, and maintaining positive relationships with administrative personnel, clients, and their families. Essential Functions

  • Execute duties as outlined in the care plan.
  • Support clients with activities of daily living through approved personal care tasks, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, and ambulation.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients and their families.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and bed-making.
  • Assist in addressing nutritional needs through meal planning, preparation, grocery shopping, and kitchen cleanup.
  • Provide reminders for clients to take self-administered medications.
  • Observe and promptly report any changes in the client’s mental, physical, or emotional condition or home environment to the immediate supervisor.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and professional relationships with clients, family members, and co-workers.
  • Participate in in-service training, continuing education programs, staff meetings, and client conferences as requested by the immediate supervisor.
  • Complete required documentation of services rendered and submit to the office in accordance with policy timelines.
