Job description:

The Breakfast Host/Hostess is responsible for the preparation and service of the complimentary breakfast offered to hotel guests each day.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Deliver personalized service to all guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Adhere to the uniform dress code, including wearing a name tag, earpiece, and radio.
  • Conduct daily inventory assessments of food, beverages, and supplies required for breakfast service.
  • Prepare food items in accordance with the hotel menu, including cut fruit, coffee, and hot breakfast dishes.
  • Maintain stocked areas for drinks, including juice, milk, coffee, and tea.
  • Arrange and display food for self-service efficiently and attractively.
  • Clear and clean tables promptly as guests vacate them.
  • Respond to spills and maintain cleanliness throughout the breakfast and kitchen areas.
  • Remove and dispose of trash responsibly.
  • Restock food and supplies in the self-service area as needed.
  • Wash serving equipment and return it to designated storage.
  • Move all portable countertop items and thoroughly clean surface areas.
  • Properly store reusable food supplies after breakfast service.
  • Conduct a final inspection to ensure cleanliness in the breakfast and kitchen areas after operations conclude.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Weekend availability is mandatory.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
