Job Position Description:
As a Supervisor, you will play a vital role in training, overseeing, and motivating team members. You will be responsible for ensuring that all staff remain focused and complete assignments in accordance with ServiceMaster’s high standards. To succeed in this position, a solid understanding of cleaning principles and effective team management skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Train cleaning staff on ServiceMaster’s standards, products, processes, and procedures.
  • Oversee staff performance to ensure all assignments are completed according to the established schedule.
  • Instruct cleaners on task schedules specific to individual accounts.
  • Conduct inspections and provide constructive feedback to staff members.
  • Adjust staffing as necessary in response to call-offs or no-shows.
  • Address customer complaints and requests promptly and empathetically.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Open and secure facilities, managing the security system as required.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is preferred but not required.
  • On-the-job training will be provided for candidates demonstrating a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Experience with a professional janitorial service, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is advantageous.
  • Must possess flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Contribute positively to the work environment through a pleasant demeanor, reliable attendance, and professional presentation.
  • Exhibit respect and understanding toward co-workers and customers.

Physical Demands and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of differentiating between cleaning products and their appropriate uses.
