Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene assistance to elderly clients or those recuperating from surgeries, injuries, or accidents by addressing their basic needs, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
- Remind clients to take prescribed medications and assist them with ambulation.
- Aid with mobility both inside the home and outside, including during doctor’s appointments and walks.
- Assist with personal care and hygiene, meal planning and preparation, and support physical therapy exercises.
- Complete shopping for clients or accompany them as needed.
- Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents promptly.
- Respond quickly and responsibly in emergency situations.
- Facilitate essential daily living activities by assisting patients with their meals and related tasks as necessary.
Qualifications
- Enjoy working in one-on-one settings and demonstrate an eagerness to learn and improve continuously.
- Capability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation daily.
- Demonstrated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.
- Availability to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care setting (minimum of one year preferred).
- Willingness to uphold health and safety standards.
- Supportive and compassionate demeanor.
- High school diploma or equivalent, along with experience as a caregiver.
