At Oakleigh of Macomb Assisted Living Facility, we are looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Medication Technician (MedTech) to provide dignified care to our residents.
As a MedTech, your responsibilities will include:
– Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
– Administering medications as your primary responsibility while providing hands-on care to each resident.
– Maintaining a clean environment, which may include light housekeeping tasks.
– Complying with all safety and health regulations, including infection control protocols.
– Monitoring residents for changes in their condition and promptly communicating these observations to your supervisor.
– Administering medications and injections to residents in accordance with their medical charts.
– Assisting residents with repositioning according to their care schedules.
– Following the established procedures for medication documentation.
– Exercising good judgment in delivering client care and ensuring safety.
– Collaborating with team members to fulfill their duties.
– Completing all necessary documentation and charting.
– Responding to call lights and assessing residents’ needs.
– Obtaining meal trays and assisting residents with eating.
– Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
– Successful clearance of a criminal background check.
– Must be at least 18 years old.
– Proven experience in administering medications and working with senior populations.
– High school diploma or GED equivalent.
– Reliable transportation.
– Availability to work every other weekend is required.
