Job description:

Home Instead, serving the Ottawa County and Erie County areas, is seeking experienced Care Professionals (CNA, HHA, STNA, DCS) to join our Afternoon team. Available shifts range from 12 PM to 5 PM, 5 PM to 10 PM, or a combination thereof (e.g., noon to six). Our organization offers a range of services that empower older adults to remain in their homes while addressing the challenges of aging with dignity and compassion.

Care Professional Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the well-being of older adults in the comfort of their homes
  • Foster lasting relationships within the community
  • Conduct household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders
  • Provide incidental transportation for appointments, errands, and activities
  • Assist with personal hygiene care as needed, including toileting, dressing, and bathing

Caregiver Skills and Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to treat and care for older adults and their properties with dignity and respect. Patience and reliability are essential attributes. Applicants must be able to pass a background check, DMV check, and drug screening. A valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and ideally possess six months of senior care experience.
