Job description:

Enhance the ALDI shopping experience in a collaborative team atmosphere by joining us as a Cashier or Stocker. As a valued team member, you will operate registers and related machinery, stock shelves, maintain store aesthetics, and provide outstanding service to our customers. Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 – $18.00 | Year 3 – $18.50 | Year 4 – $18.50 | Year 5 – $19.50

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members and convey pertinent information to the direct leader.

Cashier Responsibilities:

• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and neatly stock shelves and merchandise displays.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, assisting patrons with their shopping needs.
• Provide management with feedback regarding products, inventory discrepancies, scanning errors, and general issues.
• Participate in store inventory counts as per guidelines and monitor inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures to minimize losses.

Stocker Responsibilities:

• Stock shelves and rotate products to ensure customers have access to fresh items.
• Follow merchandising planograms to create appealing displays.
• Organize new inventory and manage empty box disposal and breakdown.
• Operate machinery while adhering to all safety protocols.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and navigate the store.
• Stockers must be able to move merchandise from the receiving area to shelves and lift items weighing up to 45 pounds at varying heights.

Qualifications:
