Job Title: Prep Cook – Big E’s EBL

Company: Suburban Inns

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Pay: $14 – 16 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $14 to $16 for a Prep Cook position at Big E’s EBL in Grand Rapids, MI, is generally considered competitive but slightly below the national average for similar roles. As of 2023, prep cooks in the U.S. earn an average wage ranging from $15 to $20 per hour depending on experience and regional cost of living, with Michigan’s rates leaning towards the lower end of that spectrum. In Grand Rapids specifically, the cost of living is moderate, and while the offered range reflects entry-level pay, it may not fully attract experienced candidates. Overall, while the pay is reasonable for entry-level positions, it might need adjustment to align more closely with industry standards and retain skilled workers.
