Job Description:
The Operations Coordinator, reporting to the Director of School Operations, plays a pivotal role in the school-based operations team, ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of our school. As a representative of the school community, the Operations Coordinator provides exceptional customer service to students, families, staff, and visitors. Key responsibilities include managing the front desk, coordinating transportation requests, ensuring student attendance accuracy, and following procedures to uphold the safety of students and staff while organizing shared workspaces.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing school environment that reflects our visual culture.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support in areas such as transportation, child nutrition, food services, technology, and facility maintenance to ensure an effective front office.
  • Collaborate with technology vendors to ensure proper functioning of technology and infrastructure, addressing issues promptly.
  • Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders, including Nationwide Children’s Hospital staff, custodial staff, security personnel, and outside vendors.
  • Ensure that all areas of the school are clutter-free, well-organized, and ready to welcome visitors.
  • Assist the Director of Operations in supervising the school’s auxiliary services, including transportation and food service.
  • Conduct bus counts, communicate transportation changes to parents, and distribute transportation tags for students.
  • Support daily attendance initiatives by contacting the households of absent students, striving for a 95% average daily attendance rate while helping families overcome obstacles.
  • Implement a daily tardy reporting system and accurately input tardy data into the database.
  • Manage the receipt, distribution, and preparation of incoming and outgoing mail and shipments.
  • Answer phones, redirect inquiries as necessary, and ensure timely communication of messages to staff.
  • Maintain daily administrative operations and resolve operational issues in the front office.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in school, business operations, customer service, or a managerial capacity.
