Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver exceptional customer service to guests throughout their hotel stay. This role requires responding promptly to guest requests and proactively anticipating their needs. Additionally, the front desk staff will provide comprehensive information and services to guests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
– Answering incoming telephone calls with professionalism and adhering to hotel and brand standards related to telephone etiquette.
– Delivering excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns in a timely and courteous manner.
– Making and modifying reservations as required by guests.
– Complying with hotel and brand standards regarding guest interactions and loyalty programs.
– Efficiently coordinating check-in and check-out procedures in a courteous manner, ensuring a positive experience for all guests.
– Maintaining guest privacy and safety by safeguarding their information from unauthorized parties.
– Documenting pertinent guest and room information in the front desk log for reference during future shifts, while protecting this information as confidential.
– Assisting the sales team with pre-registration and room blocking for group bookings.
– Following established procedures for credit, check cashing, and cash handling.
– Monitoring room availability to ensure guests are assigned to ready rooms.
– Providing accurate information about rooms, amenities, and hotel policies.
– Implementing suggestive selling techniques to promote room bookings and hotel services.
– Collaborating with the housekeeping department to update room status, including notifying them of check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, and special requests.
– Handling mail, packages, and messages with care to ensure prompt and accurate delivery to guests or management.
– Attending departmental meetings.
– Communicating with housekeeping and maintenance teams regarding guest concerns and room preparations.
– Adhering to all safety and emergency protocols while maintaining awareness of accident prevention policies.
– Completing all assigned tasks as outlined in the shift checklist.
– Performing various other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
– Preferred: Experience in hotel guest services.
– Required: Experience in customer service.
– Ability to reason and make sound decisions in response to guest concerns.
