Job description:

The primary responsibility of the Estimator is to deliver an exceptional customer experience by creating detailed estimates and coordinating the repair needs of our clients. This includes managing all communications, keeping customers and insurance companies informed and updated throughout the repair process. The Estimator accurately evaluates vehicle damage and documents necessary repairs and parts replacement in the damage appraisal. This role is critical to the overall success of the customer experience, ensuring alignment with team members to achieve the repair facility’s key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Document and update every customer interaction efficiently and accurately with relevant details.
  • Provide customers with accurate and timely information, guiding them through the repair process while ensuring exceptional service.
  • Ensure adherence to all insurance client requirements, processes, and metrics.
  • Comply with all WOW Operating Way procedures related to customer drop-offs, repair planning, communication, and delivery.
  • Communicate customer requests and needs to the appropriate team members.
  • Demonstrate positive energy when greeting customers both in person and over the phone.
  • Maintain an understanding of all required insurance programs and procedures.
  • Participate in daily “production walks” with the Management Team as required.
  • Support team members as needed.
  • Attend monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings if required.
  • Participate in training, information sessions, and workshops as recommended by the Store Manager.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the store’s KPIs by maximizing personal performance.

Education and/or Experience Required

  • Knowledge of vehicle repairs and Original Equipment (OE) guidelines.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to research and locate answers as needed.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Minimum of one year of experience with compliance for Direct Repair Programs (DRPs).
  • Willingness to complete I-CAR training.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Compensation Details:

COMPENSATION: Commission-based. Commissions for this position are calculated based on location, revenue metrics, sales performance, and individual contributions, as outlined in the terms of the compensation plan. Estimated annual earnings range from $46,800 to $100,000. In the event that total compensation in a pay period falls below minimum wage, clocked hours will be calculated at the applicable local or state minimum wage, whichever is greater.

Supplemental Pay:

This position may also be eligible for bonus opportunities linked to individual or business initiatives.
