As an Assistant Store Manager, you will spearhead various projects, including resets and remodels, while collaborating with the Store Manager to identify and develop talented individuals who can embody the Serv-U-Success brand. You will equip them with the necessary tools and training to contribute effectively to a high-performance team.

All newly hired employees will participate in a comprehensive Assistant Store Manager Nights Training program at an alternate store location, working closely with a peer mentor. This training is designed to equip you with the skills needed for success in your new role. Additionally, mileage reimbursement may be available during the training period.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to assigned stores within a designated territory to fulfill job duties.
  • Serve as the “Manager on Duty” in the absence of or alongside the Store Manager, ensuring proper staffing and prioritization of tasks.
  • Utilize external On-Demand and Temporary personnel when necessary to promptly support ongoing projects or prepare for future needs.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to comprehend project timelines and optimally schedule weekly tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Monitor project outcomes and confirm that all work meets customer satisfaction, ensuring each project is finalized within the same shift.
  • Interpret Plan-O-Grams, schematics, and other documentation required for project completion.
  • Exhibit a high standard of merchandising and reset skills across all store categories.

Additional Requirements:

  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance at store locations; remote work is not an option.
  • Be prepared to travel to various locations without delay.
  • Comprehend and adhere to all Serv-U policies and standard operating procedures as detailed in the electronic Employee Handbook and Visual Work Instructions.
  • Be capable of performing essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED; further education is a plus.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in the service industry, with some supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated results-oriented approach; organized and methodical; enthusiastic about learning and adapting to change.
  • Proficient in the use of technology, particularly personal devices (a weekly phone stipend is provided).
  • Open availability is required; candidates must be willing to work on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Depending on the position, a valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and a motor vehicle record check may be required.

Compensation ranges from $17 to $19 per hour, with an additional $1 per hour for FLEX premium and night shift differential. New hire compensation is determined based on experience.
