We are seeking qualified CDL-A Drivers to join our team at US Foods®, a leading organization in the foodservice industry. As part of our commitment to supporting our drivers, we are offering a $12,000 retention bonus for eligible candidates.

The anticipated compensation for this role is $25.55 per hour, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, a strong safety culture, and excellent leadership support, among other perks.

Schedule:

  • 85% of driver routes allow for daily home return.
  • Typical schedule consists of 4 days, 12 hours each.
  • Saturday deliveries may be required.
  • Coverage for driver vacations can involve night routes and overnight stays at hotels.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate trucks to deliver products to customers and adhere to scheduled delivery times.
  • Efficiently unload products using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or manual handling, placing them in designated areas.
  • Confirm the accuracy of deliveries with customers and secure necessary signatures.
  • Manage collections and customer payments when applicable.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to enhance the client experience.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull products weighing between 20 to 80+ pounds repeatedly throughout each shift.
  • Capable of driving and working in various weather conditions, making frequent stops (10+ per shift).

Qualifications:

  • Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is mandatory.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of residence, complete with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
  • A minimum of six months of commercial driving experience in any industry is required, or three months in the food and/or beverage delivery sector.
  • Manual transmission operation is preferred; may be essential in specific locations.
  • Proficiency in reading and communicating in English is required for understanding traffic signs, responding to inquiries, and completing reports.
