Work Schedule: Standard (Monday to Friday)
Environmental Conditions: Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety Standards is required. In cleanroom environments, the use of hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, and facial hair is prohibited.

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer responsible for repairing, installing, maintaining, and updating all Thermo Fisher hardware and automation products within the BEA division, alongside providing consulting services at customer locations.
A Day in the Life:
- Deliver instrument and equipment services, including installation, basic training, preventative maintenance, repair, and compliance support.
- Contribute to high-value service-related procedures and documentation.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to enhance the customer experience.
- Foster customer satisfaction through prompt response times and effective problem resolution.
- Provide timely service reporting on customer activities.
- Execute commissioning and qualification of equipment by completing Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and Installation/Operational Qualification (IQ/OQ) protocols.
- Develop and nurture positive relationships with customers in the assigned territory.
- Assist the Service Sales Representative with service order management.
- Support product quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in service optimization projects.
Keys to Success
Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience or an Associate degree accompanied by 4 years of relevant experience is required.
- A background in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Biomedical Engineering is preferred.
Experience:
- Previous experience in Bioprocessing, Automated Bioproduction, Bioproduction Equipment Design/Maintenance/Software Control, and Bioprocessing Chromatography is desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to identify, recommend, and prioritize enhancements to the customer experience and internal processes, collaborating with internal and external partners for implementation.
- Experience with Delta V or similar control software is advantageous.
- A strong team player who can effectively work with counterparts and customers worldwide.
- Self-motivated and proactive, possessing strong communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems, PC hardware, and desktop applications.
- Proficient in oral and written English communication.
- Willingness to travel extensively.

Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated salary range for this position, based in Ohio, is $68,200.00–$102,000.00. This role may also be eligible for a variable annual bonus based on individual and company performance in accordance with policy.
