Job Description
Job Title: Banquet Server
Company: Kewadin Casinos
Location: Sault Sainte Marie, MI
Pay: $9.64 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $9.64 for a Banquet Server in Sault Sainte Marie, MI, appears to be below the typical industry standard for similar roles, especially considering the federal minimum wage is $7.25 and many states have higher minimums. In hospitality settings, particularly in banquet and catering services, servers often earn between $10 and $15 per hour on average, not including tips, which can significantly enhance overall earnings. Additionally, wage levels can vary based on experience, certifications, and the specific establishment. Therefore, while this rate may be compliant with minimum wage laws, it may not be competitive for attracting and retaining skilled workers in the hospitality sector.
