Job description:

In the position of Housekeeper, you will play a pivotal role in upholding the cleanliness and sanitation of the Community’s interior spaces, including residents’ apartments, all while ensuring a courteous and friendly atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general housekeeping tasks for both the Community and individual resident apartments, including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning the main entryway, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and resident apartments.
• Maintain resident apartments by cleaning and defrosting refrigerators as needed, checking and cleaning heat system filters, changing beds and linens, and ensuring an adequate supply of linens in each apartment. Assist with turning mattresses and emptying waste baskets when necessary.
• Conduct deep cleaning of apartments as required, with particular attention to the main entry area, including carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures.
• Launder all linens using the provided laundry facilities.
• Adhere to Company sanitation and safety protocols.

Server Responsibilities:

• Welcome residents and guests at each table with a warm smile while serving beverages, cereals, and/or soups and salads from the cart.
• Courteously and clearly review the meal menu, take resident orders, and serve meals and desserts.
• Return the cart to the kitchen and assist with the storage of perishable items. If necessary, deliver trays to resident rooms.
• Bus and clear dishes from tables after meals and reset for the next service, ensuring compliance with sanitation procedures for tables and chairs as outlined in the Food Service Guidelines, including vacuuming carpets as needed.
• Carry out side work such as filling sugar holders, replenishing creamers, and cleaning the coffee maker.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Effective communication in English with colleagues and residents.
• General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to retain orders (up to four at a time).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
