Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated Member Services Representative for a full-time overnight position to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional customer service to our Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests, thereby ensuring an exemplary "Judgement Free" experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Front Desk Activities:

  • Warmly greet members and guests, providing outstanding customer service to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome.
  • Answer incoming phone calls in a friendly and professional manner, assisting callers with various inquiries.
  • Manage member check-ins, conduct tours for prospective members, facilitate membership sign-ups, log amenities, and communicate updates and events to members and guests.
  • Address member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Process beverage or merchandise purchases using the point-of-sale system.
  • Utilize the POS system to assist with issuing new membership cards, as well as handling address changes and billing or payment inquiries.

Club Cleanliness and Maintenance:

  • Ensure the front desk area and lobby remain clean and organized to uphold a professional environment.
  • Perform regular facility cleaning and maintenance, including mopping spills under equipment, removing trash, and cleaning windows and mirrors.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all exercise equipment and tanning beds.
  • Regularly stock and clean restrooms and wet areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Candidates for the overnight position must consent to a 7-year criminal background check within the first week of employment; continued employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check outcome.
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and colleagues, consistently exceeding member expectations.
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • An upbeat, positive, and professional demeanor is essential.
  • Punctuality and reliability are crucial.
  • Candidates must obtain and maintain CPR/AED certification within the company’s required timeframes and demonstrate the physical ability to perform CPR/AED in case of a medical emergency.

Physical Demands/Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, and frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and perform repetitive hand motions.
