Job description:
A housekeeper is primarily responsible for ensuring that guest rooms are maintained in a clean and comfortable condition, adhering to the exceptional standards set by Veridea Group, while also fostering guest satisfaction through friendly and courteous service.
Essential Functions:
1. Assist all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, consistently going the extra mile to ensure their satisfaction.
2. Thoroughly and accurately clean and prepare guest rooms in accordance with the operational policies and standards of Veridea Group and the Franchise. This includes:
a. Removing soiled bed and bath linens and replacing them with clean linens.
b. Clearing trash and debris from guest rooms.
c. Cleaning all surfaces in the bathroom area.
d. Dusting all surfaces.
e. Restocking promotional materials and literature.
f. Replenishing guest room amenities.
g. Vacuuming guest rooms.
h. Following Extra Thoughtful Care procedures for stay-over rooms.
i. Completing room checkouts in 30 minutes or less.
j. Reporting any unusual circumstances to the supervisor.
k. Promptly reporting maintenance requests.
l. Turning in items left behind in rooms and registering them in the Lost & Found Logbook.
3. Maintain a clean and organized cart and vacuum cleaner to enhance job efficiency.
4. Report all “DO NOT DISTURB” signs or bolted door rooms to the supervisor to ensure guest safety and maximize guest satisfaction.
5. Organize storage areas to ensure the quality of contents and optimize job efficiency. This includes:
a. Checking stock levels to determine adequacy for daily work.
b. Restocking storage rooms and carts as needed.
c. Removing damaged or soiled linens and returning them to the laundry storage area.
6. Secure linen closets, linen chutes, and trash chutes to ensure safety and security at all times.
7. Acquire a comprehensive working knowledge of the property and its facilities in order to effectively respond to guest inquiries.
8. Understand and apply all safety and security procedures of the hotel to maintain a secure environment for both guests and employees.
9. Keep immediate supervisors promptly informed of any issues or unusual matters of significance to facilitate timely corrective action.
10. Perform additional duties as requested or required.
