Job Title: Resident Lifestyle Specialist- Hamilton Ohio

Company: Community First Solutions

Location: Hamilton, OH

Pay: $16 – 19 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $16 to $19 for the position of “Resident Lifestyle Specialist” in Hamilton, Ohio, appears to be relatively competitive, particularly given the local cost of living and prevailing wage standards in the region. In general, similar roles in the hospitality or residential services sector often range from $15 to $22 per hour, depending on experience, skill set, and specific job responsibilities. Therefore, the offered rate falls within industry standards for entry to mid-level positions in this field, but may be on the lower end for more experienced candidates. Overall, while it is competitive for a starting or less experienced applicant, it may not be sufficient to attract highly skilled professionals.

Job description:

In this role, you will design and implement engaging programs aimed at enhancing the quality of life for our Independent Living residents. This multifaceted position blends creative event planning with compassionate resident interaction, promoting a vibrant community atmosphere that addresses the psychological, social, and spiritual needs of our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and promote diverse activities both within and outside the facility to enhance resident engagement, communication, and overall well-being.
  • Encourage residents to pursue hobbies and provide instruction and supervision for physical, social, and creative group activities.
  • Foster intellectual and educational growth through literature, lectures, films, cultural events, and community engagement opportunities.
  • Plan and coordinate parties and special events in collaboration with other Lifestyle staff, the culinary team, and the Director of Resident Services.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of events, including setup, decoration, facilitation, and cleanup.
  • Work flexible hours, including some evenings and occasional weekends, to support scheduled programming.
  • Order supplies, maintain inventory, and adhere to departmental budgets.
  • Cultivate a cooperative work environment with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments to enhance event planning processes and system improvements.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to inquiries from staff, residents, and families, ensuring confidentiality is respected at all times.
  • Routinely monitor voicemail and emails to maintain accurate attendance records for all events and activities.
  • Ensure accurate information is input into our internal resident software, which is accessible via an app and a resident TV channel.
  • Familiarize yourself with OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards and the company’s Exposure Control policies.
  • Comply with safety regulations and policies.
  • Uphold the company’s "Always Behaviors" while serving our clients, colleagues, and community.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned that align with the responsibilities of the position.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Licenses/Certifications: Valid State of Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance are required.

Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in leading and facilitating a variety of activities and programs, ideally with older adults.
