Job description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to join our team in Pottsville, PA. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of our retail operations, with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales performance.
- Lead and motivate a team of retail associates, cultivating a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators.
- Manage all aspects of store operations, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Uphold outstanding customer service standards throughout the store.
- Oversee visual merchandising and store presentation to optimize sales and enhance the customer experience.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to make informed business decisions.
- Implement and maintain effective loss prevention strategies.
- Manage the store’s financial aspects, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
- Collaborate with upper management to align with company-wide goals and initiatives.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- A proven track record of over 3 years in retail management, demonstrating effective leadership and sales achievements.
- A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Strong financial acumen with the capability to manage budgets, analyze data, and control costs.
- Excellent problem-solving and inventory management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to customer service.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching, and developing team members.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail management software.
- Knowledge of retail merchandising and visual display techniques.
- Understanding of loss prevention strategies and practices.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform various movements associated with a retail environment.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This position operates within an automotive shop environment, exposing the individual to moderate noise levels, adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. General service technicians may be required to:
- Work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Carry and stock merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
