Job description:
Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities
– Efficiently manage order entry and follow-up tasks, including new order entry, order cancellations, STAT orders, Accuflow change logs, mail order processing, CII evaluations, data entry, work queue management, blister packaging, and patient admissions within the pharmacy system.
– Master the pharmacy computer system (Framework / DocuTrack) to ensure accurate and timely input of prescription and patient information.
– Conduct thorough research, follow-up, and troubleshooting of discrepancies related to prescription and patient data entry.
– Resolve any discrepancies related to orders with clients, including issues arising from illegible prescriptions or potential medication concerns.
– Collaborate effectively with Order Entry leadership to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
– Actively contribute to the evaluation and ongoing enhancement of client services, policies, and procedures.
– Foster and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and customers.
– Respond to customer inquiries via phone, providing high-quality customer service.

Work Environment
This role is based in a closed-door pharmacy environment, where technicians primarily interact with customers via telephone rather than in person. Technicians are required to work one weekend every other week, with a corresponding day off during the week. Additionally, participation in every other holiday shift is expected, totaling three holidays per year. The dress code stipulates the wearing of scrubs or business casual attire paired with comfortable, clean sneakers; t-shirts and leggings are not permitted. Responsibilities related to order entry and customer care are conducted entirely on a computer with a headset. The facility is organized and well-maintained, featuring a front desk, office space for order entry and pharmacists, an operations floor equipped with automated machinery, an IV room, and a break room offering coffee, water, and snacks for purchase.

Pay and Benefits
