Job description:

We are actively seeking candidates for full-time and part-time Barista positions at Atrium Medical Center, located at One Medical Center Drive, Middletown, OH 45005. Please note that we are accepting applications online only.

The position offers flexible scheduling options, with full-time and part-time shifts available from Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, including every other weekend and holiday. Additional details regarding the schedule will be provided during the interview process.

While prior Barista experience is preferred, it is not a requirement, as we are willing to provide training to the right candidates. The pay rate for this position is $16.00 per hour.

Job Summary:
As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee and espresso drinks, as well as related food and beverage items. You will adhere to HACCP guidelines and maintain high standards of food quality and safety. Providing excellent customer service through friendly and courteous interactions is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering, adhering to established recipes and standards.
  • Accurately enter orders into the POS system and handle cash and charge transactions.
  • Restock condiments, beverages, and general supplies while ensuring the cleanliness of the service area.
  • Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, complying with HACCP standards.
  • Maintain the sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
  • Follow approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality food preparation.
  • Keep display equipment clean and free from debris during meal service.
  • Thoroughly clean your workstation and equipment before transitioning to other assignments.
  • Greet customers courteously and ensure their satisfaction while addressing any concerns with supervisors.
  • Serve customers quickly and efficiently to prevent delays in service.
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and provide accurate information to customers.
  • Utilize effective selling techniques to assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure that all display foods are attractively merchandised and served in an appealing manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
