The role of a Home Instead Care Professional significantly impacts the lives of seniors and enriches the community. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as full or part-time Care Professionals, responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and joy of aging adults in the local area, allowing them to remain in their homes with dignity. Home Instead offers a range of non-medical services designed to support seniors as they navigate the challenges of aging.

Care Professionals can work as few as 4 hours per day, several days a week, or commit to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

– Providing companionship by listening and engaging with clients
– Assisting with light housekeeping duties, such as vacuuming, dusting, and laundry
– Organizing and preparing meals, grocery shopping, and running errands
– Offering reminders for medications
– Assisting with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, changing clothes, and safely getting in and out of bed

No prior experience in healthcare is required, as we are committed to training all Care Professionals thoroughly. Home Instead offers comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure that Care Professionals feel confident and equipped to meet the unique needs of their clients. Training formats include classroom sessions, online courses, and in-home instruction to cover all aspects of senior care.

Requirements for the Care Professional position include:

– A commitment to treating seniors and their belongings with dignity and respect
– Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clients in a friendly manner
– Demonstrated reliability and trustworthiness
– Successful completion of a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screening
– A valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
– Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

We currently have opportunities for daytime, evening, and overnight shifts available in Lima, Delphos, Findlay, and Putnam County. At Home Instead, we believe that caregiving is personal.
