Canine To Five is seeking passionate dog enthusiasts to join our vibrant team at our dog daycare and boarding facility in Midtown Detroit, MI. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our furry clients and their human companions. This role will involve responsibilities at our front desk as well as actively engaging with the dogs in our care.

We are currently hiring for full-time positions (30+ hours per week) and require candidates to have flexible availability, including shifts between 6 AM and 8 PM and two weekends each month. No prior experience is necessary; however, a positive attitude, strong work ethic, quick learning ability, and a genuine love for dogs are essential.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position encompasses a combination of the following roles:

The Front Desk Associate, internally referred to as a Client Experience Representative, is the first point of contact for clients at our facility and plays a vital role in client retention. This role necessitates a friendly and compassionate demeanor, excellent memory for client and dog names, a positive attitude throughout the workday, and the ability to effectively promote additional services and benefits. Responsibilities include processing payments, performing clerical tasks related to clients and their dogs, efficiently escorting dogs throughout the facility, and undertaking additional projects as assigned.

The Pack Leader serves as the backbone of Canine To Five, ensuring safe and enjoyable group play for all dogs in our facility. This role requires sound decision-making skills, enthusiasm for both clients and dogs, and confidence in leading group interactions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with various dog breeds and sizes, capable of maintaining control during group play, and able to work independently in a dynamic, loud, and fast-paced environment. A strong memory and eagerness to learn about dog behavior and safety are also crucial.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to perform detailed cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing
