Responsibilities:

  • Accurately set up the rails, print, and die cut sections on the Flexo machine by following established setup techniques.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of all dies before and after production runs to identify and address any necessary repairs before subsequent runs.
  • Ensure that all bolts for cutting dies are properly positioned and securely fastened.
  • Monitor box quality, assessing factors such as loose liner, warping, size accuracy, and print quality. Inspect rolls for potential damage.
  • Optimize equipment utilization by operating machinery at maximum capacity and speed.
  • Collaborate with the Operator, Assistant Operator, and Utility team members in executing job responsibilities on the machine.
  • Accurately and promptly complete necessary reports, including Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, and Quality Data.
  • Submit maintenance work orders to supervision for any repairs needed.
  • Fulfill annual food packaging safety training requirements.
  • Report any identified food packaging safety risks or concerns.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations and maintaining a clean workspace.
  • Adhere to the production schedule, making recommendations for optimization to achieve cost efficiency, quality, and service goals. Report any unusual scheduling concerns to the Supervisor.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Availability and willingness to work overtime on short notice, including weekdays and weekends.
  • Capability to operate in a manufacturing environment with fluctuating temperatures.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to work the 3rd shift.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience operating a Flexo machine.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple simultaneous requests.
