We are expanding our team in Dublin, OH, with multiple openings for Medicare Sales Agents. This inbound call position provides a competitive base salary and performance-based bonuses. You will consult with customers regarding their insurance needs and identify suitable coverages, products, and benefits. Our comprehensive training program not only equips you for your role but also covers the cost and offers support to obtain the required state insurance licenses—no prior license is necessary to start. During training, all new hires must successfully complete the UHC Portfolio Agent New Hire training classes and demonstrate proficiency in the material.

Work Schedule:

  • Operating hours: Monday – Friday from 7:00 AM to 9:30 PM local time; specific shifts will be assigned during training and may include rotating weekend work
  • Full-time position with flexibility based on the seasonality of our business

Work Location:

  • Accelerate your success by participating in our onsite training program for 6 – 10 weeks during standard day shifts
  • Following successful completion of the training and nesting period, this position will allow for hybrid work options, with the capability to work from home up to 3 business days per week

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming phone calls from prospective members, identifying their needs with the aim of converting callers into qualified leads and sales
  • Follow up with members regarding inquiries or to introduce current and new products and services
  • Utilize multiple computer systems to accurately document member information while maintaining active listening and engagement
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the product portfolio by addressing member needs, explaining differences among products, and assisting in selecting the most appropriate options
  • Facilitate the completion of enrollment applications over the phone, ensuring consistency with product requirements and enrollment guidelines
  • Achieve established performance, attendance, and consumer experience goals
  • Maintain compliance with requirements for agent licensure, appointments, and annual product certification

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 4+ years of customer service/sales experience
  • Must obtain all required state insurance licenses within 30 days (license may be obtained during training)
  • Ability to maintain regularly scheduled shifts, including during training, with flexibility to adjust daily schedules or work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Proximity to our office located at 5900 Parkwood Place, Dublin, OH is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous sales experience
  • Familiarity with computer systems and Windows PC applications, with the capacity to learn new and complex systems
  • Flexibility to tailor communication styles to accommodate various caller personalities and needs

The hourly salary range for this role is $16.00 to $24.04, dependent on full-time employment status, local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other relevant factors.
