Leadership, Passion, Sales. As a General Manager (GM), you will oversee and provide strategic leadership to the sales and group personal training teams across two locations. This pivotal role requires a comprehensive understanding of sales operations as well as a commitment to coaching and talent development. Responsible for the sales function, the GM will implement a marketing and lead generation strategy to boost fitness program sales while effectively promoting the health and wellness benefits associated with a healthy lifestyle. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, creative, and result-oriented.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
– Model all studio activities and sales processes through active involvement, leading by example.
– Meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
– Lead and coordinate initial and ongoing sales efforts through promotions, events, and outreach; execute effective lead generation strategies.
– Manage the entire employee lifecycle for studio-level staff, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and offboarding.
– Train and mentor staff, establishing a leadership development pipeline; conduct role-playing exercises to maintain a high-performing team.
– Ensure studio budgets are met, focusing on revenue, payroll, supplies, inventory management, and return merchandise authorizations.
– Schedule sales staff and audit time cards weekly; ensure accurate and timely submission of studio payroll biweekly with integrity and compliance.
– Organize and lead monthly staff meetings to review sales objectives, goals, events, and marketing campaigns with the sales and fitness teams.
– Attend weekly meetings with Regional Managers to provide updates on performance and studio activities.
– Collaborate with the Head Coach to build and maintain optimal OTF class sizes through effective scheduling.
– Ensure adherence to front desk operational protocols, including member check-in, telephone inquiries (both general and sales-related), first-time guest bookings, and onboarding of new members, along with other necessary administrative tasks.
– Plan and promote monthly special events, utilizing OTF tools to enhance community engagement.
Operational Duties:
– Ensure compliance with OTF business policies and the Thrive employee handbook in daily studio operations.
– Uphold OTF branding by maintaining consistency in all actions and enforcing corporate policies, business practices, systems, and processes.
– Troubleshoot issues with the facilities department concerning studio equipment and technology, ensuring the facility is clean, well-maintained, and operationally efficient.
– Make effective decisions to resolve customer service issues.
