We are looking for an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to join an innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and upgrading essential electrical and instrumentation systems, while fostering a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
This position offers direct hire opportunities with the following work shifts:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
The role offers a competitive union wage of $35.05 per hour, with opportunities for overtime, as well as a potential annual bonus target of 6%.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct safe maintenance and repair of manufacturing and utilities equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with manufacturing equipment, documenting deviations and supporting problem investigation efforts.
- Utilize digital systems to source spare parts and complete necessary documentation.
- Install, calibrate, inspect, and repair instruments and electrical equipment in compliance with applicable standards (e.g., NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, ISA).
- Interpret and apply electrical and process control drawings including wiring schematics, P&IDs, and instrument loop diagrams.
- Troubleshoot and repair motor control circuits, VFDs, and associated equipment.
- Mentor and provide on-the-job training to team members as needed.
- Identify and propose continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and promote safe working practices throughout the facility.
- Complete all required reports and documentation accurately.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety principles, and life-saving rules.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- A two-year technical degree or certificate in industrial electrical or instrumentation (preferred), or a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial maintenance environment without a degree.
- Prior experience in a chemical plant or equivalent industrial setting is highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, along with certifications from trade schools or professional organizations (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule and perform physical tasks, including climbing stairs and ladders.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
