Summary
This position encompasses a variety of food service responsibilities, including food preparation and production, customer service, equipment operation, and cashier duties.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Supervise student food service workers in the assigned area.
  • Assist in training and instructing regular student employees; maintain records and prepare necessary reports.
  • Manage food ordering, student scheduling, inventory maintenance, and operate cash registers and card readers; process cash transactions for accounting.
  • Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in the designated area.
  • Operate all kitchen equipment safely while preparing and producing menu items proficiently; understand and interpret recipes.
  • Perform catering duties, including setup, serving, delivery, cleaning, table service, and cleanup; engage with customers in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of portion sizes, food items, and ingredients being served; adhere to the current uniform policy.
  • Participate in training related to operational changes affecting assigned duties; responsible for waste removal and recycling in assigned areas.
  • Conduct physical inventories in designated areas as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: Provide functional supervision over student assistants and other support staff as necessary.
  • Commit to continuous improvement strategies and actively engage in related initiatives within the University.

Required Education, Certifications, Licensures

Required Experience
