Job Summary
As a Starbucks Barista, you will be responsible for crafting an array of complex beverage recipes using a diverse combination of ingredients, adhering to standardized recipes. The role requires working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while utilizing specialized kitchen equipment. You will be expected to ensure that all ingredients and finished products meet established quality standards, maintain safety and sanitation protocols in the work area, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Essential Functions
– Prepare a wide variety of intricate beverage recipes according to standardized recipes.
– Learn and accurately retain knowledge of beverage ingredients, measurements, and recipes.
– Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
– Multitask across various responsibilities within the operation, including recipe production, cash handling, stocking, and sanitation duties.
– Operate, maintain, and clean specialized kitchen equipment; troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate to leadership as necessary.
– Identify and rectify ingredients or finished products that do not meet quality standards, while upholding safety and sanitation guidelines.
– Prepare for semi-annual health department and external regulatory inspections.
– Create personalized customer experiences by demonstrating product knowledge and accurately fulfilling specific customer requests.
– Implement effective service recovery strategies when products do not meet customer expectations.

Qualifications
Required
– Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and communicating effectively in English.
– Basic math and computer skills.

Preferred
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Experience in food service and cash handling.
