This role will be based at our health centers in the Columbus, Ohio area, with a part-time schedule of 24 hours per week across the following locations:
- Monday: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at 2391 Hilliard Rome Road, Columbus, OH 43026
- Tuesday: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at 2391 Hilliard Rome Road, Columbus, OH 43026
- Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at 4152 Buckeye Parkway, Grove City, OH 43123

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves working closely with a primary care physician to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure a positive experience for our patients. Our unique model empowers Medical Assistants to oversee the entire patient experience, encompassing both administrative tasks akin to a Medical Receptionist and clinical responsibilities typical of a Medical Assistant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties and responsibilities reflect the expectations for this position but are not exhaustive:
- Escort patients to examination rooms, ensuring that they are thoroughly cleaned and stocked.
- Review previous medical information and gather relevant updated health information from patients to inform the provider.
- Measure vital signs, perform blood draws, administer injections, dress wounds, assist with procedures, and collaborate with contracted labs for additional testing.
- Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations orally, topically, inhaled, intramuscularly, subcutaneously, or intradermally under the direction of and upon written order from the Provider.
- Collaborate with other care team members to develop individualized patient care plans, identifying and addressing gaps in care.
- Perform front desk duties, including patient scheduling, medical record management and documentation, coordinating specialist visits and referrals, and assisting with check-in and check-out processes.
- Document accurate and pertinent information in medical records according to established guidelines.
- Process test results and communicate them to patients in a timely manner via e-message, mail, or phone as directed by the Provider.
- Engage in outreach efforts to enhance patient engagement among eligible groups.
- Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment required for treatments.
About You:
- A minimum of one year of experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a Primary Care setting. Experience may vary based on clinic needs.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or a related field.
- National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is strongly preferred and required in states where certification/registration is mandated for employment.
- CPR/BLS certification is required upon the start date.
- Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
