Location: Port Huron
Shift: 2nd shift 4pm-12am
Pay Rate: $17.00 – $18 per hour (based on experience)

As a Jr. Mold Setter / Cell Tech, you will assist in the maintenance and operation of plastic injection machines, ensuring optimal performance throughout the production cycle. This position offers an outstanding opportunity for growth within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with mold and die changes, ensuring timely and efficient execution of scheduled adjustments.
  • Expertly set up molds and associated components, including watering systems, knockout mechanisms, and hot runner setups.
  • Adjust molding press parameters following process verification sheets.
  • Perform mold pulling and resetting for repairs and maintenance work.
  • Safely load and unload mold-carrying trucks.
  • Install and remove auxiliary equipment on the molding floor.
  • Organize and maintain the mold storage area, ensuring it is well-stocked with supplies.
  • Accurately complete all necessary paperwork in accordance with company procedures.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards, including OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, upholding high housekeeping standards.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in plastic injection molding and mold setting is preferred.
  • Strong commitment to safety and the ability to work within established safety guidelines.
  • Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and proficient problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, coupled with a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
