Salt Fork Park Lodge is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and guest-oriented Activities Director to lead and enhance our recreational programming. In this pivotal role, you will design, coordinate, and implement a diverse array of activities that celebrate the unique natural beauty and local attractions of our area, ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable and engaging experience. A key aspect of this position will involve overseeing our lifeguard team to maintain the highest standards of water safety.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging recreational, cultural, and educational activities that cater to guests of all ages, incorporating innovative programs that reflect the lodge’s environment and attractions.
- Enhance guest engagement and safety by leading activities with clear instructions while providing personalized recommendations and support.
- Oversee lifeguard operations, including training, scheduling, coaching, and supervising the team to ensure adherence to water safety protocols and standards.
- Collaborate with local vendors, attractions, and other departments to seamlessly integrate activities and coordinate special events or off-site excursions.
- Maintain oversight of inventory management, setup logistics, budgeting, expense tracking, and the compilation of reports on guest feedback and program performance.
- Market and promote activities through social media, local partnerships, and on-site marketing initiatives to drive participation and enhance visibility.
Qualifications:

Experience:
- A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in recreational programming, event planning, or hospitality management, preferably in a resort or outdoor setting.
- Prior experience managing or supervising lifeguards or similar teams is highly desirable.

- A Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field is preferred.

Skills & Certifications:
- Proven leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- A strong passion for outdoor recreation, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of local attractions and activities.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Certifications in First Aid, CPR, or related outdoor activity training are advantageous.
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and capable of performing physical activities such as lifting and setting up equipment.
