Job description:
Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide essential support to our residents in Clinton Township, MI. The Caregiver will play a vital role in assisting residents with their daily activities while offering companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others, demonstrate exceptional communication skills, and foster meaningful relationships with seniors. Experience in medication administration is required, and you should be comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities:
– Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
– Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
– Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
– Maintain a clean and safe environment, which may involve light housekeeping tasks.
– Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor.
– Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers at Homestead.
– Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
– Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:
– Must be at least 18 years of age.
– High school diploma or GED required.
– Ability to pass a criminal background check.
– Previous experience working with the elderly is preferred.
– Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
– Availability to work every other weekend.
– Reliable transportation is essential.
– Valid driver’s license or ID required.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, and to consistently arrive on time for each shift.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position, with Caregivers scheduled for 8-hour shifts, including the requirement to work every other weekend.

Pay:
