Key Responsibilities:
The Engineering Team Lead will independently conduct testing and evaluation on a diverse array of products in accordance with U.S., Canadian, and international product safety standards. Responsibilities include drafting reports, facilitating client communications, and providing local expertise in specific product categories. Additionally, this role involves mentoring and training junior technical personnel. The Engineering Team Lead will report to the Engineering Manager or an appointed designee and may require up to 25% travel.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct thorough testing and evaluation of products to meet stipulated U.S., Canadian, and international safety standards, while preparing comprehensive reports and engaging with clients.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert within assigned product categories, providing mentorship and guidance to less experienced technical staff.
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of Engineers and Technicians, ensuring effective work delegation and management of tasks, including recruitment recommendations, performance reviews, and employee development.
  • Collaborate with sales in quoting and client engagements as needed.
  • Manage resources effectively, ensuring proper manpower projections and utilization.
  • Ensure maintenance of housekeeping, equipment calibration, and supply inventory in the assigned area.
  • Enhance efficiency and productivity, guaranteeing timely invoicing and assisting with financial management, including forecasting and cost control as required.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
