As an Event Specialist, you will take the lead in conceptualizing, planning, and executing corporate, community, social, and recognition events at our Cincinnati headquarters and our satellite offices across the nation. What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting select TQL events with responsibilities that encompass conceptualization, timeline development, budgeting, promotional activities, vendor relations, food and beverage management, entertainment coordination, and post-event follow-up.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and fellow Events Team members to address event needs for over 9,000 TQL employees and their families across multiple locations nationwide.
- Acting as a liaison between internal teams and vendors, ensuring that event deliverables consistently meet or exceed expectations.
- Tracking participation and demographic data post-event to assess areas for improvement in future events.
- Supporting TQL’s event-related marketing and engagement initiatives.
- Working nights and weekends as necessary to ensure attendance at special events.
What you need:
- A Bachelor’s Degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience overseeing all facets of corporate event planning.
- A valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel as needed for events.
- The physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events and setup, as well as the capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25-50 lbs.
- A flexible schedule that accommodates working some nights and weekends for special events.
- A team-oriented attitude with a positive, solutions-focused approach.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a high level of customer awareness, both externally and internally.
- Demonstrated proficiency in budget management and negotiation.
- The capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking work environment.
- A hands-on work ethic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
