Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Homestead Health Care is actively seeking compassionate and experienced Resident Aides to provide exceptional care for our residents in Rochester Hills, MI. The Resident Aide will assist residents with activities of daily living and offer companionship and emotional support. We are looking for candidates who possess a genuine passion for helping others, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and can cultivate meaningful relationships with seniors.

This position does not require any licenses or certifications, and we are hiring immediately! Candidates must have experience in medication administration and must be comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities:
– Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
– Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
– Maintain a clean and safe environment, which may include light housekeeping duties.
– Report any changes in the resident’s condition to the supervisor promptly.
– Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and colleagues at Homestead.
– Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
– Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:
– Must be at least 18 years old.
– High school diploma or GED is required.
– Ability to pass a criminal background check.
– Experience working with the elderly is preferred.
– Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
– Availability to work every other weekend is required.
– Reliable transportation is essential.
– Valid Driver’s license or ID.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment, and to arrive punctually for every shift.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position, with Resident Aides scheduled to work 8-hour shifts. Every other weekend is required.

Pay:
