As a Home Care Aide, you will work individually with clients in their homes, providing assistance with various activities such as:
- Light housekeeping, including organizing, laundry, and basic cleaning
- Personal care tasks like dressing, grooming, and meal assistance
- Running errands, grocery shopping, and accompanying clients to appointments
Eligibility Requirements:
- Certification as an STNA or completion of a Home Health Aide Training program lasting a minimum of 75 hours, which includes 16 hours of supervised practical training covering the necessary topics.
- Good physical health, including documentation of a tuberculosis test conducted within six months prior to the first assignment (if required).
- A commitment to professional development, including completion of organizational and state-required training.
Please note that caregivers must comply with state background screening requirements. Compensation, benefits, time off, and bonuses may vary by state and locality. In Ohio, effective December 9, 2024, eligibility for a $500 hiring bonus will require remaining an active employee with at least 500 hours worked. A second bonus of $500 will be awarded to caregivers who complete an additional 500 hours. Caregivers must be active employees at the time of the bonus payout. New and former caregivers who have not worked with Help at Home in the past 12 months may qualify for the bonus, while transfers from within the Help at Home, LLC organization are not eligible.
