LABORER/ENTRY LEVEL OPERATOR – Starting at $23.87 per hour, with 15 days of paid time off and benefits effective from day one.

Martin Marietta Magnesia Specialties, LLC, located at the Manistee Plant, is currently seeking candidates for Laborer/Entry Level Operator positions. This role involves a combination of manual labor, equipment operation, data entry using computers, and general tasks within the plant. Responsibilities include the packaging, palletizing, wrapping, marking, and loading of products into railcars and trucks. The successful candidate will operate forklifts to transport packaged products, load and unload trucks, railcars, and overseas containers, and assist Control Room Operators with the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of process equipment. Additional duties encompass routine equipment checks, process monitoring, and sampling, alongside strict adherence to safety protocols and maintaining cleanliness in the work area.

Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria: be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma, be able to lift a minimum of 55 pounds, and be willing to work rotating shifts. Candidates should demonstrate a strong work ethic, integrity, reliability, and the ability to transition into roles with decision-making responsibilities. Applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment physical, drug test, background check, and WorkKeys skills assessment.

Starting wage is $23.87 per hour, with the potential for six-month progressive wage increases, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes a 401(k) plan and pension options.
